Attributed to Alexej Von Jawlensky (Russian, 1864-1941).
Painter linked to the group Der Blauer Reiter (The Blue Rider) in Munich, he went from the status of academic painter to that of innovative colorist after his encounter with artists such as Wassily Kandinsky and Henri Matisse, going so far as to adopt their radical colors and their approach to representation.
